10/28/04: KELLY'S PANTY RAID PT. I
Who would want to steal Kelly Osbourne's knickers? Well, according to Sharon Osbourne, the maid did it -- and "CJ" has learned the family's former maid, Juana Zavala has, in fact, been arrested by Beverly Hills Police for allegedly staging a panty raid and stealing jewelry from the family.
According to published reports, Zavala allegedly made off with Kelly Osbourne's $800 Chewbacca "Star Wars" ring, $630 worth of sheets and towels, and a diamond ring belonging to Osbourne daughter Aimee worth more than $32,000. Not mention the stolen panties. Sheriff's department documents show Zavala has been cooling her heels in a Los Angeles County Jail since late September, unable to post the $400,000 bail.
The alleged theft occurred months ago, but the accused maid only appeared in court last week.
The maid's husband, Jamie Zavala, reportedly claims that Sharon confronted the woman and pulled her hair. Sharon denies that, but it wouldn't be the first time Sharon defended her stuff. About a year and a half ago, Sharon got banged up pretty bad during a confrontation in a trendy LA restaurant, in a dispute over another pricey piece of jewelry. Sharon said at the time, "It's not like, 'why me' or 'poor me.' But I'm pissed off."
In the latest incident, Sharon says she's confident the matter will be handled properly by the DA's office.
10/28/04: KELLY'S PANTY RAID PT. 2
One of the Osbournes' cleaners is in police custody accused of stealing Kelly Osbourne's underwear and other items from their Beverly Hills mansion.
Accused housekeeper Juana Zavala, 52, claims Sharon Osbourne assaulted her after learning of the alleged thefts by pulling out clumps of her hair.
Sharon denies the accusation, saying: "Never in a million years would I touch her. She's a pervert who sniffs knickers."

10/15/04: RUMOUR ONE- NEW BOYFRIEND?:
Kelly has been spotted romancing with Davic in Vancouver, Canada, where she is currently filming her new TV show 'Life As We Know It'.
Kelly's representative has denied rumours of her affair with Davic, but there have been reports that both of them have been seen painting the town red on a string of 'romantic dates'.
"They're both really into the music scene and checked out all the underground clubs and musicians, including girl-band Tegan and Sara," rate the music quoted a source as saying.
"They fit in perfectly with the crowd and with each other. They're really cute together," the source added.
10/15/04: RUMOUR TWO- DRUG ADDICTION:
Kelly Osbourne is grateful to the photographer who snapped her making a drug deal with a street dealer because it alerted her mother Sharon, who sent her straight to rehab.
The Changes star was addicted to painkillers and believes she could have died if her mother had not been made aware by the picture in a British newspaper.
The 19-year-old says of her battle against drugs: "During that time, I bought a house in Los Angeles for $1.5m (€1.2m), but I never moved into it. If I had moved in, I would not be alive right now because I would have done drugs all day by myself and you know you're an addict when you do drugs alone.
"It got to the point where I was puking blood because the Tylenol and Vicodin were rotting my stomach. Still, no one suspected me of anything.
"Then a paparazzo took a picture of me buying drugs and sent it to my mother. I thank God for that because it saved me. Detoxing was the most painful experience I've ever gone through. It feels like someone is pouncing on you."
But she persevered, explaining: "I stayed in bed and nurses made sure I didn't hyperventilate or freak out. After about a week, I had what addicts call 'the snap' - that moment when you start living again.
"One morning, I woke up and thought: 'OK, I'm going to go to the counselling sessions and follow the programme'. And it worked. I started feeling better about myself and wanted to show people who I really was."

10/11/04: SHARON'S OBIT ON ABC NEWS WEBSITE?
ABC apparently goofed when they posted Sharon's (premature) obituary template on their news site today:
"Sharon Osbourne XX of XX.
Sharon Osbourne, best known as the woman who saved Ozzy Osbourne from himself, XXX today of XXX. She was XX.
Valerie Reiss
[Née Sharon Arden Born October 9, 1953 in London, England XXXX: XX]
Sharon Osbourne, best known as the woman who saved Ozzy Osbourne from himself, XXX today of XXX. She was XX.
Wife and business manager of heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, a.k.a. the Prince of Bleeping Darkness, Sharon lived in backstage obscurity until her family's wildly popular MTV reality show, The Osbournes, catapulted her to household-name status. Her XXX today of XXX was?.
Sharon, Ozzy and two of their three teenage children, Jack, 18 and Kelly, 17, played out their chaotic yet happy daily lives for an audience of millions - one episode pulled in 7.8 million viewers, the most for any show in the history of the network. They also won an Emmy award for Best Reality TV Show.
Off-screen, just weeks after negotiating an astronomical $20 million dollar contract for a second season of The Osbournes, Sharon was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The show went on, though, filming throughout her illness and treatment.
Though she struggled with addictions to food, drugs and alcohol, Sharon was known for her business savvy and nerves of steel. Starting in the late 1970s, she hauled Ozzy out of a debilitating drug addiction, took over his career and helped him sell more than 70 million solo albums. When Ozzy was rejected by Lollapalooza, she created the Ozzfest metal tour, which turned out to be the largest grossing group concert in history. Sharon also hatched the idea for The Osbournes and was the family's fiercest contract negotiator throughout.
Rock n' Roll Roots
With a father who was a concert producer and band manager and a mother who danced, Sharon grew up steeped in London's entertainment industry. Sharon's father, the hard-bitten Don Arden, managed bands such as Electric Light Orchestra and Black Sabbath, Ozzy's original heavy metal band. Sharon dropped out of school at 15 to work for her him.
Ozzy and Sharon's romance began in 1979, when Sharon went to collect $500 that Ozzy owed her father. Having been kicked out of Black Sabbath for excessive substance abuse, Sharon found Ozzy at a Beverly Hills hotel, bottomed out from a six-month cocaine binge. "He was so vulnerable and sweet and honest," she told People. "He was a bit of an oddball. But he was really, really loving."
Furious with her for poaching a client - especially one who owed him money - Sharon's father attempted to have her killed and they did not speak for 20 years.
During those years, Sharon struggled with her weight and Ozzy's addictions. At the lowest point in his struggle, Ozzy attacked Sharon one night in a drug-induced haze and tried to strangle her. "Eminem talks about killing his wife, but my husband actually tried it," Sharon told British tabloids. The incident landed Ozzy in a six-month round of rehab, though even today, he continues to drink and take prescription drugs.
In 1999, when 225 pounds had settled on Sharon's 5'2" frame, she underwent a new surgical procedure to shrink her stomach. It helped her drop 95 pounds, restricting her to small amounts of food at a time. "In my life I've seen the way people react to fat people. Somebody once said that it's more accepted to be a drug addict than it is to the fat, and it's true," Sharon told Barbara Walters.
Doctors say this weight-loss procedure had nothing to do with her subsequent cancer.
At the height of The Osbournes popularity, Sharon was included in People's Most Beautiful People issue in 2002.
When she was diagnosed with cancer, her family was shattered. Filming the show during this difficult time was more straining than they had thought. "Ozzy's been hitting the bottle again and the cameras are here all the time?" Sharon told Barbara Walters on 20/20. "So we have no privacy? You know when you're sick and you want to be on your own? And I can't throw up on my own and Ozzy can't get drunk on his own."
Osbournes No Osmonds
The family's on-screen, "ordinary" lives made the Addams Family seem like the Osmonds. They in fact parodied the wholesome duo for a Pepsi Superbowl ad this year. Their regular-yet-shocking family antics were punctuated by the constant bleep of the censor, with Sharon remaining the sane and stable mom throughout. When the family pooch had bowel problems, she called in the pet therapist; when things got ugly with the elevator-music-loving neighbors, she made nice with police.
The show also affected the lives of their teenage children. Kelly, 17 has put out an album, Shut up; Jack, 18 appeared on an episode of Dawson's Creek; and even the "missing" daughter, Aimee, who moved out when MTV moved in — has upped the ante on her modeling career. Sharon too, was set to host her own afternoon talk show. Alternately proud and bothered by her family's fame and lack of privacy, Sharon surprised MTV executives by telling Barbara Walters the show would end after the second season. She quickly recovered from the gaffe by publicly announcing, "I love my MTV."
"You're not as normal as I think you are when I'm talking to you," Walters once told Sharon, aptly capturing the essence of her allure. When Ozzy once bit off the head of a dove during a tense moment with record company executives, Sharon defended him, "He was meant to take it out of his pockets as a show of peace."
Sharon also occasionally surprised her foes with Tiffany boxes full of feces. She also told People about her meeting with Queen Elizabeth: "She was very warm and amazingly down-to-earth, and I just told her that she had great tits, 'cause she does."
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Sharon and her dark prince renewed their wedding vows in a New Year's Eve ceremony. The official day of their anniversary is July 4th. Sharon once joked, "I wanted to pick a day Ozzy would remember."
Osbourne is survived by her husband Ozzy and three children, Kelly, Jack and Aimee."
Too funny!!! Sorry, ABC, Sharon is still alive and kicking ass!
10/06/04: TRL
Kelly appeared on MTV's 'TRL' today. She announced that she has completed her new album with help from Linda Perry (Formerly of '4 Non-Blondes' fame) and that it will be released at the beginning of next year.
She said that it would be different than what she has done before.
She also spoke about her new TV show, 'life as we know it' which airs tomorrow (10/07) at 9:00 pm on CBS. Kelly stars as a girl with her own set of values and said she hopes her role will help other girls out there who feel different feel better about themselves. When asked about live in Vancouver, Kelly said she was lonely the first few months, but got a dog and is doing better now.
10/04/04: KELLY MOVES TO VANCOUVER
Kelly Osbourne is stepping out on her own again after two failed attempts to leave her family's Beverly Hills, California, home.
The pop star bought a house and an apartment in a bid to break away from parents Sharon and Ozzy and brother Jack, but, after revamping them, she decided not to move in and sold them - so she could stay at home.
But now she has been forced to move out because her new American TV show, Life As We Know It, is being filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
And, to make sure she didn't change her mind about her new loft home, she furnished and decorated it in a day.
She says, "All I had when I moved in was three paintings, a couch and a mattress. I shipped them to Vancouver, and then I bought all of this new furniture the day I arrived. I did my apartment in 24 hours.
"Now, I don't think I could go back to living in a house full of people again."
9/25/04: DEVON BRONSON
Did ya know Devon Bronson, one of the guitarists for Kelly's band, is now playing in Avril Lavigne's band?
Does Kelly still even have a band? I'm not sure. Her other guitarist Matt Dauzat is now with Hydrovibe, drummer Alicia Warrington is with The Bruises and bassist Josh Paul has been MIA for a year and a half now.
A lot of things have changed in the past year.
9/23/04: LAWKI INTERVIEW
Blunt but cheerful, Kelly Osbourne sounds happy as she talks about going through drug and alcohol rehabilitation, finishing an album, and her role in the upcoming ABC drama "life as we know it."
Ozzy's daughter - sporting red-and-black hair as she continues to stress individualism over conformity - plays Deborah, a teenager at a high school where the boys think about having sex, playing hockey and growing up, pretty much in that order.
Based on the British novel "Doing It," "life as we know it" premieres Oct. 7. On this series, the adults are as flawed as the kids.
Everyone seems to be "doing it" or thinking about doing it. Dino Whitman (Sean Faris) is trying to convince girlfriend Jackie (Missy Peregrym) to have sex with him, but she wants a commitment from him first.
And Ben Connor (Jon Foster) falls in love with his young high-school English teacher, Monica Young (Marguerite Moreau), who might just return his affection.
"There's such a lack of reality (on TV) about what kids are going through," Osbourne said. "Sex is really happening at a young age."
Osbourne said she likes playing a 15-year-old girl from the perspective and hindsight that comes with her real age, 19.
On the show, Deborah finds a boyfriend, Jonathan Fields (Chris Lowell), who's attracted to her despite the fact she is a bit overweight. They make out in the first episode, but she insists there'll be no more of that unless Jonathan commits to a loving relationship, one that he doesn't hide from the world.
"She really loves Jonathan," she said. "He's afraid of what his friends will think."
Osbourne, who clearly isn't overweight, explained that society sets high standards for thinness.
"In high school in L.A., I was considered fat," she said. "If you don't have a flat stomach in today's society, you are considered fat, and that's how high school is.
"And if I can help somebody, and some girl in the Midwest who thinks she's fat and is insecure and then sees the show and says, 'Well, she's overweight and maybe not the most beautiful girl in the world, but she's cool and people like her,' that's the main reason I took on this role," Osbourne said, "because I thought it was such a good role model to show people that this world is so big and there's enough room for all shapes and sizes."
Osbourne has moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, where "life as we know it" is filmed.
Osbourne, who grew up in the countryside of Buckinghamshire, England, said she didn't know about BMWs or designer clothing when she moved to Beverly Hills.
"I've had the best of both worlds," she said, "which I think has made me very appreciative for everything that I have today."
She said she doesn't feel she has missed out on a regular teenage life by having her life unfold on a reality show.
"You know, life (can be awful) no matter what you do," she said. "It's just part of it."
In her own life, Osbourne said she doesn't worry about what people think of her.
"If people want to like you, they will find every reason to like you," she said. "If people want to dislike you, they'll find every reason to hate you."
Osbourne said in July that her family had just finished filming the fourth season of "The Osbournes." No date has been set yet for the series' fall premiere, according to MTV.
"I don't like reality television," Osbourne said.
"I mean, I like our show, but it was a different kind of reality television," she said. "I think what we did was the first of its kind. It wasn't like it was a competition to win anything. It was a test. It was a trial, and we just got incredibly lucky.
"And it's just, they took a good thing and took it too far with reality TV, I think," she said.
Osbourne said she's still getting used to acting. "It's so much fun, and I get to work with such great people and work with such great material," she said. "And I think maybe I might be doing this for a little while."
