10/25/02: KELLY'S B-DAY IN VEGAS

Happy birthday to Kelly!!! This weekend she will be with her family & friends in Las Vegas to celebrate her 18th birthday (actual date of birth: October 27, 1984). A party somewhere is planned, but details are on the down-low. This past week she continued rehearsals with her band and also made time to attend the "Jackass" premiere. Kelly's album art has been laid out and it looks incredible! Worldwide release: November 26. First single is the title track, "Shut Up".
Oh, her dad has a show at the Palms Casino tonight, October 25th, so you can bet she'll be there. Then, it'll be out and about till the wee hours for sure.

10/20/02: WANTED BY THE LAW.

Kelly has only just left Australian shores and already there's a growing group of people who can't wait until she gets back.
One group in particular are the City Central Police.
The Police are investigating allegations that Kelly was served alcohol in an inner-city bar during her whirlwind visit.
Kelly, who is still just 17 (she turns 18 on October 27th), was photographed with a type of wine cooler at launch party last Monday, as revealed in 'Weekend Confidential' on Saturday.
Local (Sydney) area Commander Superintendent Glen Harrison yesterday said he had spoken to the management of the inner-city establishment but now needed to speak with Kelly to determine what, if any, action should be taken.
"We've put in a request to speak with Kelly Osbourne and representatives from her record company on her return to Australia," Harrison said.
"Then we'll determine what action should be taken."
Although Kelly was in an area of the bar where food is served and juvenilles are allowed in the company of a responsible adult, Harrison said it was still illegal for them to be served or consume alcohol.
The police will have to wait until December for the daughter of the Prince of Darkness to return when she will take part in the Rumba music festival.
That should also give her a chance to catch up with Natalie Imbruglia, also performing at Rumba – who Kelly called a "Cunt" a few times while there.

10/18/02: 'SHUT UP' VIDEO COMPLETED

Don't expect to hear the same bitter teenager portrayed on "The Osbournes." A spokesperson for Kelly's record label described Kelly's new album as "A lot of fun," similar to her cover of Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach".
Shut Up the album is due November 26. Rick Wake produced the project.
A track list has not been finalized, according to the Epic Records spokesperson, but Kelly's Web site reports that the album opens with the dance track "Disconnected," which is guaranteed to get your "booty jigglin' like puddin'."

11/15/02: TOTALLY NEW KELLY NEWS!

Kelly's been hard at work doing press, photo shoots, putting her band together and rehearsing, taping "The Osbournes" second season, and making a little time for leisure 'round the scene in Hollywood.
She was at the Peaches/Queens of the Stone Age show a couple weeks ago with some friends and she looked great and seemed to be having a fun time. Oh yeah, congrats to Kelly and the Osbournes for taking home the Best Reality Show award at the Emmy Awards! It pretty much was a formality giving the award to that groundbreaking show; Who in their right mind wouldn't vote for it! They'd be out of their fuckin' minds!!
Anyway, there's a flurry of activity surrounding Kelly's album, now officially called SHUT UP!.
After weeks of waiting for the mastered album, now hot off the presses, it is in my grubby paws. It Rocks, with a capital R; oh my God, does it RAWK!!! If you're booty isn't jigglin' like puddin' after the opener "Disconnected" blares, you must be pulseless!
A video was shot for the title track last Friday in Los Angeles, lensed by Evan Bernard. Not sure what the concept is or any specifics but it will soon be on MTV all over the world. The album is due in stores November 26 (in the U.S.), and the first single is, you got it, "Shut Up!". So shut your yapper and get ready for the worldwide coming-out of everyone's favorite anti-debutante, Kelly Osbourne, who turns 18 October 27!

11/15/02: AUSTRALIA ROCKS, SAYS KELLY

Seventeen-year-old rock and reality TV star Kelly Osbourne is not comfortable being a teenage icon, she has confessed.
The singer whose debut single is selling like hot cakes in Australia said in Sydney today she was too busy making her own mistakes to be setting examples for others.
"Im not very comfortable (with being a teenage icon), I don't want to fuck it up ... I'm too busy making my own mistakes, let alone making mistakes for other people," the singer who has featured as a cover girl on Australian teen magazines said.
The daughter of legendary British rocker Ozzy Osbourne is in Sydney for tonight's Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) awards, where she will present two gongs.
Kelly, one of the stars of the Ten Network's off-the-wall reality TV series The Osbournes, said Australia's culture was far superior to America's.
"I just think the culture and the people (in Australia) are so much nicer than they are everywhere else," said the young star who has taken on teenage icon status in the US.
"Everybody (in the US) is so full of shit."
Kelly's debut single, the cover of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach, was certified Gold, with 35,000 sales in Australia just one week after its release.
But Kelly, dressed in a hot pink jacket, jeans and pearls, told a Sydney press conference that she was surprised by her success.
"I thought I'd end up a Woolies check-out chick."
Kelly said her dad was one of her biggest fans and often listened to her music, however it was tough trying to live up to his reputation.
"In a way it's harder because of the expectation you've got more to live up to," she said
The star, who was Cosmo magazine's August cover girl, said she was not comfortable being a role model for teenage girls.
Her debut album, Shut Up, is due for release in Australia on November 25.
One of the songs on the album was written for her mother who was diagnosed with cancer, Kelly said.
