9/25/02: INTERVIEW

An interview with Kelly on Hot 30.com
"Kelly was speaking from from her bed in the Osbourne's house in LA. She said she was very tired from the Emmys. She said she doesn't like things like the Emmys because they are full of executives and they are boring.
She said it's amazing to be getting paid to sing, because she's just having fun.
Her next single will be called "DISCONNECTED". It's her own song and it was really hard to choose. If you hate it she's cool with that, and if you like it, that's even better.
On the show 'The Osbournes', Kelly said the cameras drive her crazy and they are actually in her house right now, but feels her family has nothing to hide. On the "Family Meeting" episode, she says it was bull-crap and all just a set-up by MTV.
When she comes to Australia in less than a month she'll be at the Arias and will present 2 awards. She is so excited to come to Australia because she's never been here before and has always really wanted to come. She said she has 1 friend in Australia."

9/24/02: RELEASE DATE CHANGED

According to EpicRecords.com Kelly's album is due for a U.S. release on November 10th.
That sucks....But I should have known.

9/17/02: NEW ALBUM SOUNDS "POP"

Kelly describes her LP, which she has written herself, with help from her sister Aimee, as "very pop". Her debut single Papa Don't Preach is currently at number three in the UK charts.
"My album is very pop. It was a whole new experience writing music. I don't know whether my dad's fans will like the album or not.
"I was away from home when I made the album and did get really homesick because I missed everyone. I didn't like not having people telling me off and I missed the screaming fights and I really missed my mum.
"But the pop music is a bit of a laugh and I'm just going to see how it goes."
Kelly adds that 'The Osbournes' has helped bring her family together.
"I was worried before The Osbournes appeared. But then everybody loved it and I just felt really weird. I was concerned that people wouldn't understand our lives and it might seem like some sort of fantasy world," she says.
"It has brought us together more as a family as we have had to spend so much time together making the show."
"But I have never watched the show. Why would I want to watch myself? It's bad enough having to sit here and talk about myself let alone having to watch myself as well."

9/14/02: SHARON AND KELLY ACCEPT EMMY AWARD

"The Osbournes" won an Emmy Saturday night for best "Reality Series."
The series was named the year's outstanding nonfiction reality program at the Creative Arts Emmys, which are mainly awards for technical achievements given out eight days in advance of the main Emmy awards, which are handed out on Sept. 22.
Sharon, one of the show's producers as well as one of its stars, accepted the award on behalf of her husband, saying, "Ozzy I love you."
Sharon Osbourne, who is recovering from colon cancer, was accompanied to the show by her daughter Kelly. Ozzy Osbourne was not in attendance.

9/12/02: IT'S GOLD FOR KELLY OSBOURNE

Following the debut of Kelly Osbourne's cover 'Papa Don't Preach' at #3 in the ARIA (Australian) charts, the single has been confirmed gold. The track, which has propelled the pink haired daughter of the Prince Of Darkness into celebrity, spent six weeks in the top five in US.
Kelly told the BBC website over the weekend that her father has been overwhelmed by the response, saying of Ozzy: "He called me last night because he'd got all this good news about like how I went gold in Australia, and I was like so excited. And he said 'Let me give you one bit of advice - don't treat the business people as your close friends because you don't want your whole life to revolve around this, and don't just let being famous ruin your life'."
A full length album is expected from Kelly later this year, with recording recently completed on the project.

9/12/02: KELLY WON'T BE GETTING 'FREAKY'

It seems that Kelly has decided not to appear in the upcoming Disney remake of "Freaky Friday". She cites personal reasons, such as her mother's illness.
She will be replaced in the part -- a role that includes singing -- by Christina Vidal.

9/07/02: KELLY'S NEW ALBUM

Kelly performed on CD:UK in London today..... Also, here is an article I found, from some UK site:
"Kelly is currently working her debut solo album alongside famed rock producer Ric Wake. With a release date expected later in the year, all of the tracks will be new songs, apart from the Madonna cover.
‘It's just me, myself and Ric Wake writing everything. It's very punky,’ said Kelly. ‘I sound wonderful!’
The success of The Osbournes reality TV show has not only helped to launch Kelly’s recording career, but it has also landed the teenager her first Hollywood acting role. Kelly has been confirmed to appear in the new Disney movie Freaky Friday playing the role of the best friend of the lead character.
The plot centers around a young girl who finds that she has swapped bodies with her mother. Kelly will also be contributing to the soundtrack.
Having recently made her own Ozzfest debut singing alongside Andrew WK, music is clearly Kelly’s main passion right now. Taking to the stage with the energetic rocker at a recent Ozffest gig in New Jersey, Kelly added her backing vocals to the Andrew WK song She Is Beautiful.
‘It was sort of like, she's here, I'm here. It's her family's whole operation,’ explained Andrew WK. ‘She seems like she might be sitting around wanting to do something. Maybe she would like to sing a song.’"
